A Quick Update!

While Wendy Barnard continues to work on a deal for Prairie Frost, a short story of mine called The Wilting May Flowers has been published by NVH (New Voices of Horror) Magazine and will be featured in an Anthology they are planning for October of 2008.

NVH MAGAZINE

I want to thank Steve, Doc and David for making The Wilting May Flowers their story of the month for April, 2008. I appreciate the accolades. I have in the meantime started the second book in the Prairie Frost series Seasons of The Brittle Harvest Part Two: Prairie Flood, which continues the saga of the few survivors of an apocalyptic disaster. The struggle goes on as Suzanne, Terry and Glenn try to stay alive on the unforgiving Canadian Prairies. If the weather and the elements don't get to them, the cabin fever or the walking dead just might.

I am also working on my next full length novel with the working title Chokecherry. Chokecherry will be a return to the Here and There, first introduced in Fade To Pale.

I know there are many still asking when Prairie Frost will finally come out. I hope it's soon, I really do. I want my fellow Canadians (and Manitobans) to have their very own zombie tale to be proud off.

We are also still giving away ZOMBIE MAKEOVERS at:
Cheetham's Zombies

Feel free to ask...
Say hello to Charlotte, one of our newest members of the undead army.

All the best to my friends and horror fanatics, more to come soon!

The Shannon Fisichella Tragedy - To Make A Long Story Short

“A terrible way to go.”

Said a bouncer at the club where rock band ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ were headlining in Hottingham, Colorado.

Shannon Fisichella
, a beautiful young woman in the prime of her life was attacked in the parking lot by what some club patrons are describing as ‘Zombies’. Local authorities are calling the attack random.

Officer Skynyrd told the media “This is not gang related or drug related. This was a random and vicious attack on an innocent girl while she celebrated her eighteenth birthday.”

The story did not end there. Shannon’s body has since disappeared. A fan of The Devil Wears Prada snapped this picture of Shannon as she crept away from the scene.

Local authorities are telling the residents of Hottingham to stay inside until they can find both the attackers and victim Shannon Fisichella
.

Residents are also being urged not to approach the girl if they should see her, but to call the police instead.

“This curfew will not be lifted until all those involved are located“. Officer Petty insisted.

Shannon’s mother Gail Long, is beside herself. Last seen with an empty bottle of Crown as she limped down Main street dressed in a Metallica T-shirt, many mistook her for yet another of the so-called ‘Walking Dead.’

Her husband dismissed this rumor stating Gail was limping due to a bootie worn on her leg after having a large ABBA tattoo removed by laser only days earlier.

“Gail tends to wander when she’s been into the Crown Royal, but she’s no zombie…rest assured!”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON!

Have a great one!
